Antipodean 05:39
There’s no time like tomorrow - he said. What’s the point? It don’t exist anyway. Cut the beams and reach the next station. It’s all in the mind - you’ll never finish, get your way or turn the page. You don’t see your own shadow and you wont recall this day, But freeze time just to try. If I still believed this, the fault would be mine. Reincarnation to a different time: Of long-distance glows; Of beacons and climbs; Mist of beginnings, my lonely flight. Never see your own shadow And you won’t attempt the day. But freeze time just to try. We can’t wait out the Sun. It won’t burn on forever. Your fears are forever vast. They always repeat, they’re never surpassed.

Fables of an evermore in weathered runes, and faded glyphs, in shaman chants, and scrolls of law: A myth to end all myths. Mountains bury, crush and grind And monuments were left behind Without a trace. None left to grieve At open tombs of the deceived. Mountains bury crush and grind And shrines to immortality are left behind. Sureness of an evermore In 1s and 0s and coded scripts, In atom’s dance and spoils of war: A myth to end all myths.
3.
I know what you’re thinking: They’ve always stayed away. I’ll meet you across the river Where we used to play - you and I. So long ago. Feels such a long time ago. Feared the warmth would give in when the light fled. I remember the evening: The haunted looks; the dread; The wondering if i’d awake; the gathering dark up ahead. If you be the living, then I’ll be the dead. Can’t ever believe all the things they said. Endless cold has taken hold in its stead. If you be the living, then I’ll be the dead. I won’t ever believe all the things they said. Feared the warmth would give in, when the light had fled. Endless cold has taken hold in its stead.

Psychophant 04:40
Pounding on a wall. Feasting in a pit. Intrigued but appalled. Decaying but well-lit. Inhale. Uphold the veil. The prop never fails to carry the weight. Worship at the altar of a god you hate All hail, approval for sale. Banish the stale - better never than late. Worship at the altar of a god you hate. Stories overhauled. Tailored: your current fit. Afraid, vanity parade. Grin for the blade - open wide for the bait.   Worship at the altar of a god you hate Gorged on myths and foes. Roar you nouveau holy ghosts.  Two worlds collide and one remains. Hopes for a generation fade. Grin for the blade, open wide for the bait.
We worship at the altar of a god we hate.
5.
We’ll fool ourselves again - Until we stop believing we can carry this storm. Faith that dies is out of sight, Until shadow peaks  shade the face of the figurehead And brings the swell of dread.  The master’s whim on compass point – his feet on dry land.  Whose fault is it anyway, except our own? This time there is no escape - no path home. We brace against the heave and sway of the current’s flow. Holes in boughs - they’re only signs of weakness Holes in boughs - they’re only signs you retreated Born in face of sovereign’s right - Is this all that stands between us? To care and know it’s all for nought - To spare the land-legs of our leaders. A fool’s errand around the cape for kings that never need us. We heard tell of fortune worse than ours - of dreams washed up on beaches.
6.
I gave you my affection But where were you when I needed yours? You saved up all my feelings Just to throw them in my face again. All this to save me from being alone, As I recall, I couldn’t give you everything. The hunter and its hapless prey unaware of all the snares that lay in wait. A slow beat, cold, hidden statue-still, Smiling with dead eyes over your latest kill. I’ve saved up all my reasons not to go, stacked a pyre and watched it burn. I gave you my affection, But I wouldn’t give you everything.

Diweddglo 09:33
Hark the harrowing - you cling to the ‘why’. You’re sure that you’re drowning. It comes from the black sky - Some cruel aimless axe. The slogan you live by. Drawn through life’s smokestack, Dragged, shambling through - Pillar to post and back. The tempest you walk to - You’re sure that you’ll drown in The entropy that stalks you. “Our collective mistake is projecting meaning or assigning motive. We must learn to recognise the absolute benign indifference around us. It’s everywhere. It’s the universe’s sole character trait. The ambivalent whirlwind that carries the seed either to a fertile field, Or out to the fallow waves. The impartial rising rock that turns the river East to birth all civilisation, Or West to run dry in desert sand. The incidental storm that either ‘maliciously’ levels a town, Or ‘mercifully’ retreats, volte-face across the hills. That opening triumphant clash of fundamental partners which birthed a dancing star, forging all else in turn. All pain; all hope. All grief; all joy. All betrayal; all salvation. All cowardice; all courage. All envy; all charity. All terror; all serenity. Every frigid dark night of the soul; and every sun-kissed morning in a lover’s arms. All traceable - back through an unfathomable lineage of blind fortune - to two little molecules, tired of being alone. We can let ourselves drown in it, or we can float contented atop it: The realisation that it is a cruel and random world, and yet the chaos is all so beautiful… “ Embrace the eroding and welcome the ‘how’. You realise you’re floating. The ravage of the plough Moves scions to fly To fertile, unknown ground. It came clear from the night sky - You’re now laid open to the truth you gave a blind eye. Abide all you can’t view, And see that you’ll float in The liberty it grants you.
